FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Q Do the TCR Products hold up to the many different weather conditions like snow, ice, rain, mud, and dust? Yes! The TCR Crew's linear actuator system is ran using an IP65 rated large stepper motor. The IP65 rating means that that motor has nickel plated brass cable gland, front shaft contact seal, sealed laminations, and internal corrosion resistant film coating. To go along with the motor being insured to handle the elements the running board housing fully encloses the lead screw linear actuator system with the slot sealed with EPDM XtraSeal brushes. The brushes will seal up to 98.5% of air infiltration, making it a great dust seal.
  • Q How much ability does an individual need to be able to operate this system? The TCR Crew was designed so that it could be ran by a paraplegic individual that is able to use a manual wheelchair and has use of their hands.
  • Q Do these systems work in Ford vehicle models like it works in GMC and Chevrolet? Currently these products are designed for just GMC and Chevrolet, however the Ford models will be coming soon. If you would only be interested in these products if they worked with Ford we would encourage you to contact us and express your interests.
  • Q How much seating is left in the pickup after the conversion is installed into the pickup? The only seats that are removed from the vehicle is the seat that is directly behind the drivers seat along with the rear middle seat. So depending on the type of vehicle that you want converted there will still be enough seating for 3-4 people.
